Azteca: Aventurine Necklace Set
This unique ensemble pairs beautiful aventurine gemstones and Swarovski crystal with artful flair. Length 19".
Designed for the Etherea Collection in our Westchester, NY. studio, this lovely aventurine necklace set is suitable for work or play. It has a classic silhouette but unexpected yet harmonious color palette that will enhance the soft pastels of spring and dark hues of winter.
An intriguing dime-sized Czech glass bead is the centerpiece and inspiration for the design. It is complemented by the smooth aventurine gemstone coins in shades of rose, burgundy, deep forest green, midnight purple and blue-black. This composition uses mostly red aventurine which contains minerals hematite or goethite. Red aventurine promotes equilibrium and calmness.
Aventurine is a form of quartz. Its color variations are determined by other mineral inclusions. These exotic aventurine stones are from India. Aventurine is derived from the Italian word 'aventura', which means 'by chance' and thus aventurine is believed to be a stone of good luck.
Additional design components are faceted round Swarovski crystal in rose, small violet and teal Czech glass beads and tiny gold-plated beads.
The necklace closes at 19" with a gold-toned pewter toggle clasp.
Coordinating earrings fall 1.25" from gold-filled ear wires.
