Slate: Blue Stone Necklace

Crafted by Roslyn Tanner Evans of BeadZbyRoZ, this blue stone necklace is a beautiful medley of deep blue semi-precious stones with gray overtones. This lovely handmade beaded necklace would complement many different colored outfits and wear well with a turtleneck or bulky sweaters as well as a silk blouse.

All eyes go to its striking asymmetrical sodalite focal bead, a 1.25" x 1.5" smooth slab of the gemstone framed by a tiny metallic silver bead cap.The body of the necklace contains more blue/gray sodalite, (the stone ranges in color from royal blue to gray with white striations). Sodalite is a gemstone believed to heighten ones intuition. It is a stone of truth that facilitates communication. Known as a Poet's Stone, it heighten emotional honesty. Sodalite is a birthstone for Sagittarius in Hindu astrology and would make a fine gift for a happy-go-lucky Sag.

The body of the necklace is completed with faceted faceted midnight blue goldstone with starry silver flecks and slate gray rondelles in a matte finish for contrast in texture. Interspersed are gunmetal gray faceted crystals and metallic silver beads for a touch of  sparkle. 

The design is finished  at 25″ with a large silver toned pewter hook and eye clasp but long enough to slip on overhead.
